Here's a list of our favourite places to eat, what they serve and some of our personal favourites. Please note, with the area being seasonal, depending on the time of year, you may need to check their opening times.
Bar Electric
A cool, surf style bar, offering pizzas, burgers and some of the best loaded fries around. They serve plenty of food for the whole family, including GF and vegan options. They also have an open mic night on a Wednesday. Our recommendation: The piggy fries, or the mexican fries for the veggies!
The Jube
Hidden around the back of the village, it often gets overlooked, but there is no doubt that the food is great, again offering burgers, mac and cheese and salads it's a good choice.
Personal favourite: The sweet chilli chicken
The Beachcomber Cafe
A lovely, beachside cafe serving you coffee, cakes, breakfast and lunch. Enjoy the view whilst you tuck into a delicious cream tea.
Barricane Beach Cafe
One of our favourite dining experiences in the area. Head down to Barricane Beach from 5pm every day for their famous Sri Lankan curry! Don't forget to bring your picnic blanket and drink of choice and enjoy your curry on the beach whilst watching the sunset. (The cafe is weather-dependent so check their Facebook posts to see if they're open!)
The Snack Shack
Pasties, coffees and ice cream galore. Perfect take-away business for a quick lunch to take down to the beach. Personal favourite - Vegan keralan pastie, don't knock it till you try it!
Beach House
Looking for seafood? This is the place, just make sure you book a table. The Beach House is one of the finer dining experiences in the area, you can't go wrong with the food here, also one of the best roast dinners in the area.
