Welcome to Lundy House Hotel. We offer 8 quality rooms and 3 self catering options in Woolacombe. Set on the cliffs of the North Devon coast between Mortehoe and Woolacombe we offer breathtaking views of the coastline with easy access to some of the best beaches in the area.

We have 8 en-suite, modern and attractive bedrooms that all come with white Egyptian cotton bed linen, hospitality trays and complimentary internet access. Please note that we no longer do daily servicing of rooms, but offer daily towel changes, as well as additional complimentary room items. You can also stay at one of our self-catering options, giving yourself that little bit of extra flexibility during your stay.

Our History

Lundy House Hotel was built as an Edwardian gentleman's residence before being turned into a hotel, before the second world war. Having had very few owners over the years it has currently been in the same hands for almost 30 years.

The hotel operates 8 boutique rooms and a 3 self-catering options, all named after places on Lundy Island.

In 2000 the self-catering apartment was built; subtle changes and improvements were made with balconies added to the Pondsbury and Punchbowl rooms. We invested heavily in the hotel in 2018 with a car park that now provides parking for 10 cars.

What has never changed is the outstanding location of Lundy House Hotel and the stunning sea/coastal views and amazing sunsets it offers.

We Are a Dog Friendly Hotel

Tim & Brontë look forward to welcoming you to Lundy House Hotel. We are one of the few bed & breakfasts in Woolacombe that are truly dog friendly! Dogs are very welcome at Lundy House Hotel, but please keep your dog on a lead in the hotel and in the grounds.

Feel free to bring your own doggie bedding. We are happy to fill up water bottles.

There is a small charge for dogs staying in our bed & breakfasts at a rate of £10 per dog, per night. A small price to pay for a doggie holiday!

  • Do not leave your dog/dogs unattended in the rooms except at breakfast times (we do not allow dogs in the eatery).
  • Dogs must be on leads at all times.
  • We do not allow dogs on our beds.
  • Please ask for a towel if your dog is wet.
  • Dogs are allowed in our garden area from 10am – dusk but it is not for toileting (the garden is used by all our guests to sit and enjoy the outstanding views).
